New BMW Designs 2011The design of this car had been realised by Julian Bumbu and it represents the future car designs. This car’s rival seems to be Audi R8 because of the similar aspect. It looks to be a very low, aerodynamic and long car so it can reach high speeds. Julian Bumbu applied some skills learned at a Milanese automotive design program to a BMW etude.

I read that this car can be build and opened to the public. The front and rear side is similar to the new 2010 5 Series excepting the sport aspect and the fact that it has two doors. This concept is made 100% by Iulian and it represents the future sport car.

If you look for my opinion, this car is awesome. I think those lines are making this car to have a very futuristic aspect and they make this car to be very aerodynamic but at the moment this car remains fiction.

2012 Morgan Sports Cars EvaGT

Posted by Bakuryu 9:51 PM, under | No comments

Morgan was one of the first car companies to see the advantage of a bonded aluminium chassis to give rigidity but also to save weight. The 2012 Morgan Sport Car EvaGT uses a further developed version of the bonded aluminium chassis of the Morgan Aero SuperSports, a chassis that successfully competes in International GT3 Sports Car Racing. Compliant with European and US safety approvals.

The Morgan Motor Company has been making new cars all along. Morgan used the unveiling of the EvaGT sports car to again commit to releasing a brand new model every two years, with new niche markets in mind. It says the EvaGT is a four-seater coupe with a bit of “automotive theatre” aimed at young sporting families, while it also has plans for “a fun weekend vehicle” and, most intriguingly, an “electric sports car”.

The Morgan Motor Company is the last survivor of these British sports car manufacturers. Morgan sports car has a history of successful collaborations with German suppliers BMW, Siemens and Bosch. But Morgan also works with a number of young engineering companies in the United Kingdom and with world class British university research departments.

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is one of the most prestigious automotive events of the year, and is drawing the attention of more and more high-end manufacturers. Count Morgan among them, as the company has just debuted the stunning Morgan EvaGT 2+2.

The Morgan Motor Company is in a good position to respond to this challenge because the company is small and flexible with a proven track record of fast development cycles. It currently manufactures one of the greenest sports cars in the world, the Morgan Four Four Sport. Morgan sports cars achieves this result with the use of the new Ford 1.6 Sigma engine coupled with a light chassis. Morgan currently has a young well qualified technical team working towards a potential 5 engineering PHD's, who will make full use of research departments at the University of Oxford, Cranfield and Birmingham City to tap into a technical knowledge network to make more efficient cars. This team is helping to develop a high torque electric motor twice as powerful as others of the same weight and size and a powerful lithium phosphate battery with a higher charge density to achieve the most efficient performance for weight so far.

The turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline-six from the BMW 335i sits under the sculpted hood and produces a healthy 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels by either a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual. Morgan sports cars expects a scamper to 62 miles per hour to take 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 170 miles per hour. With its top speed at 170mph, Morgan sports cars Eva GT returns an impressive fuel economy of 40mpg UK, equals to 7.0lt/100km and 33.3mpg US, and has CO2 emissions of 200g/km.

The first public view of the 2012 Morgan sports cars EvaGT will be at the 60th Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, California, USA on the 15th August 2010. The Morgan Motor Company will be taking orders worldwide with a request for a deposit of £5000 from prospective clients for an allocated build slot. The first 100 cars of a limited run are planned to begin production mid 2012 and the "on-road" price will be competitive for a car of this class.

Future Car: 2012 Porsche 911 - Spy Shots

Posted by Bakuryu 9:46 PM, under | No comments

These illustrations of the next generation Porsche 911 are the best indication yet that some very good things are in store for fans of the iconic German sports car. The headlights are more pronounced than in recent models, while the taillights are smaller and narrower—and almost guaranteed to feature LED lighting. The side mirrors have moved from the corners of the front window to the sides of the doors, and the front fascia now has larger and more aggressive air intakes.
While not as noticeable in these images, previous spy photos of 911 prototypes caught during road tests seemed to indicate the car’s retractable rear wing will be larger and wider than in the current model’s. This will help pump extra air to the rear-mounted engine and provide more aerodynamic downforce at high speeds. Both the 3.4-liter engine in the base Carrera and the 3.8-liter flat-6 in the Carrera S are set to offer more power. Expect a minimum of 400 bhp in the next Carrera S, up from the 385 bhp offered in the current version. The new 911 is also expected to weigh less than the current model, thanks in part to the use of lightweight aluminum body panels.
Available transmissions will include Porsche’s 7-speed dual-clutch PDK and, potentially, a 7-speed manual transmission. Expect the new Porsche 911 to debut early next year, with the launch sometime in late 2011.

2012 Maserati Sports Car - New and Future Cars

2012 Maserati Sports Car - New and Future Cars
has been through some tough times. But after years of loss, the Italian sports-car maker finally returned to profit in 2007. The comeback was possible because of new models like the Quattroporte Automatic and the brand-new GranTurismo luxury coupe. Demand for Maseratis has been growing, pushing production to an all-time high of about 9000 cars. Maserati CEO Roberto Ronchi talks of increasing output "to 20,000 cars after 2012."
Clearly a third model line is essential for this ambitious plan, and a sporty coupe (or spyder) for younger customers looks to be the likely choice. A Geneva study by IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) has been a good test of the public's reaction. Ronchi says the show car "has the right proportions, but still needs some detail work." It's a clear hint of a more dynamic Maser, competing not only with Aston's V8 Vantage, but also with Porsche's 911. The car should be on the road by 2011 or 2012.
Tech-wise, Maserati will benefit from R&D at and Fiat. Additionally, there is still the Sigma platform developed in cooperation with GM. Denied in the past, it could still be used in the next Alfa Romeo 169 in 2009 (offering both rear- and all-wheel drive).
And there could be a fourth Maser model as well, possibly a sporty small sedan slotted below the Quattroporte to rival the BMW M3 and Lexus IS F. Ronchi wouldn't comment on this, but did talk about an ideal price range: "Future Maseratis are somewhere between 80,000 and 130,000 Euros."
